INNOVATE – Adoption of Agricultural Innovations through Non-Traditional Finance was a three-year initiative implemented by Mennonite Economic Development Associates (MEDA) and funded by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC). Through 10 projects (pilot studies and case studies), INNOVATE assessed the potential of non-traditional finance to enable large-scale adoption of agricultural innovations among women and men smallholder farmers in South Asia, South America, and East Africa.
MEDA enlisted MSA for their expertise in financial inclusion and agriculture sectors, aiming to develop and execute a learning agenda that could effectively disseminate findings to stakeholders. MSA's support in the final year included synthesizing learnings, drafting publications, designing interactive learning products, and advising on communication strategies. Their contributions, including 18 publications, 5 blog posts, and various events, facilitated widespread dissemination of insights, evidenced by high download and attendance rates, strengthening MEDA's reputation as a source of actionable knowledge.
