Scale2Save was a six-year program (2016-2022) to establish the viability of low-balance savings accounts and use of customer-centric approaches to address barriers faced in access, usage, and affordability of savings services.
MSA conducted customer research aimed at addressing identified gaps in the project's learning objectives. This research aimed to measure the impact of project interventions on financial resilience, analyze intermediate outcomes, and provide recommendations for improvement. Over 5 million data points were analyzed, including surveys and interviews, to understand customer segments and their experiences, with a specific focus on gender dynamics in product uptake, usage, and outcomes.
