This wiki codifies good practice in value chain development and integrating food security. Food security is defined by USAID as: “When all people at all times have both physical and economic access to sufficient food to meet their dietary needs for a productive and healthy life.” Food insecurity including malnutrition is both a cause and a result of poverty. As a result, value chain projects aiming to reduce poverty cannot ignore food security.
