The Start-up Toolkit for Youth Employability Projects provides valuable tools and lessons learned for development practitioners engaged in developing and/or facilitating employment and entrepreneurship projects for young people. The Toolkit draws from the experiences and learnings of the Enhancing Employability and Leadership for Youth (EELY) project in northern Pakistan. It provides practitioners with step-by-step lessons, sample documents, decision paths, and analytical tools for starting employability projects, including how to research and plan for a youth-centered Labor Market Assessments. This guide will help you to determine whether potential market opportunities are suitable for young people, and whether identified barriers can be addressed. It will help you to select effective and relevant intervention solutions while strengthening project staff capacity and young people’s engagement in the process.
